Terms of Service
Effective: August 2026 — Beta version. Amended 9 August 2026: beta fee terms restated with a 30-day notice commitment, and the support contact corrected.
7figs.ai is currently offered as an educational beta. This is the beta version of our Terms of Service; a small number of terms (noted below as being finalized) will be completed before the Service becomes generally available. Nothing here is legal, investment, tax, or financial advice.
1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you ("you," "your," or "User") and 7figs.ai, Inc. ("7figs," "we," "us," or "our"), which operates the 7figs.ai website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Notice, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of another person or entity, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on their behalf.
We may present additional or supplemental terms for specific features (for example, an Investment Advisory Agreement for advisory clients, or beta-program terms). Where supplemental terms conflict with these Terms, the supplemental terms control for that feature.
2. Eligibility
To use the Service you must:
- be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract;
- be a U.S. resident with a U.S. taxpayer identification number; and
- not be barred from using the Service under applicable law.
The Service is intended for your own personal, non-commercial financial planning. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials (authentication is provided through our identity provider, Auth0) and for all activity under your account.
3. Definitions
- "Plan" — the financial planning workspace you build in the Service (also presented as "My Story"), including your inputs, goals, life changes, and the Projections generated from them.
- "Aria" — the Service's AI assistant and any AI-generated content, insights, or coaching presented in the Service.
- "Projection" — any illustrative forward-looking output (e.g., net-worth paths, funded-years, success probabilities, scenario comparisons).
- "Linked Account" — a third-party financial account you connect to the Service through our Aggregation Provider for read-only data access.
- "Aggregation Provider" — the third-party account-aggregation service 7figs uses to retrieve read-only balances, holdings, and transaction history from your Linked Accounts (see Section 9). 7figs may change its Aggregation Provider at its discretion.
- "Advisory Services" — personalized investment advice provided under an investment-advisory relationship, available only to Advisory Users as described in Section 7 and only after 7figs' investment-adviser registration is effective.
- "Advisers Act" — the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, as amended, together with the rules and regulations adopted under it.
- "AUM" — assets under management; the value of the connected investment assets on which 7figs' advisory fee is calculated, as further described in Section 13 and in Form ADV Part 2A.
- "Educational Content" — planning tools, Projections, general financial information, and non-personalized AI output that do not constitute investment, tax, or legal advice.
4. The Service and Account Types
The Service is offered in phases and tiers with different features, fees, and (where applicable) advisory status. Your rights and our obligations depend on your account type.
| Account type * | What it is | Advice status | Account linking | Fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Beta User | Access during the educational beta | Educational only — no advisory relationship | Manual entry; read-only aggregation may be limited during beta | Free — no charge to any user during the beta |
| Trial User | Time-limited free access to planning features (post-beta) | Educational only — no advisory relationship | Manual entry; optional read-only aggregation | Free for the 14-day trial period |
| Planning User (Base Planning) | Full planning canvas, scenarios, ESO module, Aria — using values you enter | Educational only — no advisory relationship | Manual entry; optional read-only aggregation | $10/month or $100/year |
| Advisory User ** (Wealth Management) | Everything in Base Planning plus advice on your verified, connected portfolio | Advisory Services under an executed Advisory Agreement | Read-only aggregation of connected investment accounts (required for AUM billing) | 0.25%/yr of billable AUM, billed monthly, $10/month minimum |
* 7figs does not take custody of your money or securities, does not execute trades, and does not exercise discretionary authority over your accounts (see Section 10). You always retain full control of your accounts and any decision to buy, sell, or hold.
** Advisory User status and Advisory Services are available only once 7figs' investment-adviser registration is effective (see Sections 5 and 7).
5. Current Regulatory Status — Educational Beta; No Advisory Relationship (Yet)
Read this section carefully. As of the effective date of these Terms:
- 7figs' registration as an investment adviser with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is pending and not yet effective. 7figs intends to register under the internet adviser exemption (Rule 203A‑2(e)) under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
- The Service is currently offered as an educational beta. Everything provided to Beta, Trial, and Planning Users is Educational Content only.
- Using the Service does not create an investment-advisory, fiduciary, brokerage, or other professional-client relationship, and nothing in the Service is personalized investment advice, a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, or an offer or solicitation, unless and until (a) 7figs' investment-adviser registration is effective and (b) you have separately enrolled as an Advisory User under an executed Advisory Agreement (Section 7).
- Advisory Services and the fiduciary standard described in Section 7 do not apply to Beta, Trial, or Planning Users.
We will update these Terms and our disclosures when 7figs' registration becomes effective. Continued use after that time is subject to the updated Terms.
6. Not Financial, Investment, Tax, or Legal Advice (All Users)
Except for Advisory Services expressly provided to Advisory Users under Section 7, all content in the Service — including Plans, Projections, Aria's responses, insights, coaching, aphorisms, and educational materials — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only and:
- is not personalized investment advice and not a recommendation regarding any security, asset allocation, or transaction;
- is not tax advice or legal advice; and
- does not account for the complete facts of your individual situation.
You are solely responsible for your own financial decisions. Consult a licensed financial adviser, tax professional, or attorney before acting. Past performance and modeled results do not guarantee future results. Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal.
7. Advisory Services (Advisory / Wealth Management Users)
This section applies only to Advisory Users and only after 7figs' investment-adviser registration is effective.
- Separate agreement governs. Advisory Services are governed by a separate Investment Advisory Agreement, together with 7figs' Form ADV Part 2A (brochure), Part 2B (brochure supplement), and Form CRS (client relationship summary). We will deliver these to you when you apply to enroll as an Advisory User — and, in all cases, before Advisory Services begin — subject to our acceptance of your enrollment and any required suitability and identity (KYC) review. They control over any summary in these Terms.
- Fiduciary duty. As a registered investment adviser, 7figs owes Advisory Users a fiduciary duty — a duty of care and a duty of loyalty — under the Advisers Act.
- Supervised AI advisory model. Personalized investment advice is generated through 7figs' AI layer and is subject to automated content and suitability review and, where required, review and approval by a licensed human adviser before it is delivered to you. AI-generated output that has not passed this supervision is Educational Content, not advice.
- Scope of advice. Advisory Services consist of financial planning and non-discretionary investment advice based on the information you provide and the holdings in your Linked Accounts. 7figs does not provide discretionary portfolio management, trade execution, tax preparation or tax advice, legal advice, or (except as expressly offered to qualified users under 7figs' published criteria) individual-security recommendations.
- Your decisions and execution. You decide whether to act on any advice, and you (not 7figs) execute any transaction in your own account (Section 10).
- Conflicts and fees. 7figs' fees and any conflicts of interest are disclosed in Form ADV Part 2A and Section 13. The AUM-based fee gives 7figs an incentive that grows with your assets; this and other conflicts are addressed in our Form ADV.
8. Your Information and Its Accuracy
The quality of every Plan and Projection depends on the accuracy of what you enter. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date.
Before the Service generates your Projection, we ask you to confirm that each input section is complete and accurate. Projections are generated only over information you have confirmed. You acknowledge that:
- Projections reflect the inputs and assumptions you provide, not verified facts, except where based on data from a Linked Account;
- values you enter (for example, expected Social Security benefits or a planned retirement age) are used as you provide them; the Service may prompt you to double-check a figure that appears unusual or that you indicate you are unsure about, but it will use the value you confirm; and
- 7figs is not responsible for outcomes that result from inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information you provide.
9. Linked Financial Accounts and Aggregation
If you choose to connect a third-party financial account, you authorize 7figs and its Aggregation Provider to access that account on a read-only basis to retrieve balances, holdings, and transaction history for display and planning in the Service.
- Credentials. Account connections are established through the Aggregation Provider and, where supported, the institution's own secure authorization (e.g., OAuth). Your brokerage login credentials are handled by the Aggregation Provider and its integrations; 7figs does not seek to obtain your account passwords.
- Read-only. The connection does not grant 7figs or the Aggregation Provider the ability to move money, place trades, or change your account.
- Accuracy and availability. Aggregated data may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate, and connections may break when an institution changes its systems. You are responsible for verifying important figures against your institution's official statements.
- Your authorizations. You represent that you are authorized to connect each account, and you may disconnect any account at any time. Disconnection affects your fee tier as described in Section 13.
- Third-party terms. Your use of the aggregation service is also subject to the Aggregation Provider's terms and privacy policy.
7figs currently uses SnapTrade as its Aggregation Provider. Your use of the aggregation service is also subject to SnapTrade's End User Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
10. No Custody; No Trade Execution; No Discretionary Authority
For all account types, including Advisory Users:
- 7figs does not take custody of your funds or securities. Any advisory fee is billed to you separately and is not deducted from your investment assets.
- 7figs does not execute trades and has no ability to place orders in your accounts.
- 7figs does not exercise discretionary authority and will not buy, sell, or reallocate your holdings. You make and execute all transactions through your own financial institution.
11. AI Features (Aria) and Automated Content
The Service uses artificial intelligence, including large language models, to generate planning content, insights, and conversational assistance ("Aria").
- Aria is not a person. Aria is an AI assistant, not a licensed human adviser, and identifies itself as such.
- AI can be wrong. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not suitable for your situation. Do not rely on it as your sole basis for any decision, and verify anything important.
- Supervision. For Advisory Users, personalized investment advice is subject to the supervised-AI model described in Section 7; other AI output is Educational Content.
- No screen or keystroke surveillance. The Service does not record your screen or keystrokes. Conversation content is handled as described in the Privacy Notice.
- You must not use the Service's AI to attempt to obtain individualized tax, legal, or professional advice it is not authorized to give, or to circumvent its safety and compliance controls.
12. Projections, Illustrations, and Forward-Looking Information
Projections are hypothetical illustrations based on your inputs, stated assumptions, and third-party capital-market assumptions. They are not guarantees or predictions of actual results.
- Results will vary; actual outcomes depend on market performance, your behavior, taxes, fees, inflation, and events that cannot be foreseen.
- Monte Carlo and scenario outputs express uncertainty; a high modeled "success" figure is not a promise.
- Where the Service shows figures in "today's dollars" vs. "future dollars," those are presentation choices; the underlying methodology is described in the Service's Methodology disclosures.
You accept the risk of relying on any Projection.
13. Fees, Billing, Trials, and Cancellation
Fees depend on your account type. Current fees:
- Beta: The Service is free during the educational beta. No user is charged during the beta, and no payment method is required. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before any charges begin and before your account transitions off the beta.
- Trial: New accounts created after the beta receive a 14-day free trial of planning features, no payment method required to start. At trial end you will be asked to choose a plan. If you take no action within the grace window, your account moves to read-only; we retain your Plan data for at least 90 days, after which we may delete it (subject to any legal record-keeping obligations described in Section 14 and the Privacy Notice).
- Base Planning: $10/month or $100/year. Applies to accounts without a connected portfolio, or with connected investable assets of approximately $48,000 or less.
- Wealth Management (Advisory): the advisory fee is 0.25% per year of billable AUM, billed monthly in arrears on the average of daily account values, with a $10/month minimum. Cash, cash equivalents, real estate, and unconnected accounts are not billable. Details, including what is and is not included in billable AUM, are provided in Form ADV Part 2A.
- Fee transition. Connecting your first custodian account may change your fee from the flat plan to the AUM-based plan. Before the connection completes, we show you an estimate and require your explicit confirmation, which we log. You can disconnect at any time and return to the $10/month plan; the AUM fee is prorated to the disconnection date.
- Auto-renewal and cancellation. Paid plans renew automatically for successive periods until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account settings; cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Because the Service is free during the beta, no fees are charged and no refunds arise during the beta period; our refund policy for paid plans will be provided before any charges begin.
- Taxes and payment processing. Fees are exclusive of applicable taxes. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor; you authorize us to charge your selected payment method.
Fees are subject to change on prospective notice as described in Section 25; for Advisory Users, fee changes follow the process in the Advisory Agreement and Form ADV.
14. Privacy and Data
Our collection and use of your information is described in the Privacy Notice. In summary:
- Compliance records. For Advisory Users, we maintain the regulatory books-and-records required of a registered investment adviser — including certain records of the advice we provide and related interactions — retained for the periods required by law (see the Privacy Notice Sections 9–10; records subject to SEC Rule 204-2 are kept for 7 years and cannot be deleted on request during that period). For Beta, Trial, and Planning Users (who receive Educational Content only and have no advisory relationship), we retain your information — including AI conversation data — as described in the Privacy Notice (Section 9), and we are not subject to these investment-adviser books-and-records obligations with respect to that use.
- Product analytics. We collect pseudonymous product-usage analytics to improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for third-party advertising. You may opt out of analytics collection in settings, subject to the Privacy Notice.
- Your rights. Your privacy rights (including access and deletion, subject to legal record-keeping exceptions) are described in the Privacy Notice.
15. Beta Program Terms
If you access the Service as a Beta User, the following additional terms apply and control over conflicting terms:
- Features, fees, and availability may differ from the general-availability Service, and beta features may change or be discontinued at any time.
- We may impose reasonable confidentiality expectations regarding unreleased features.
16. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- access another person's account or data, or provide information you are not authorized to provide;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or extract the Service's models, prompts, or data except as permitted by law;
- attempt to defeat the Service's security, rate limits, or compliance and safety controls; or
- resell, sublicense, or use the Service to provide financial services to third parties.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations (Section 23).
17. Intellectual Property; Feedback
The Service, including its software, models, content, design, and trademarks (including "7figs" and "7figs.ai"), is owned by 7figs or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal financial planning, subject to these Terms. Your data is yours; you grant us the licenses necessary to operate, secure, and improve the Service and to meet our legal obligations, as described in the Privacy Notice. Feedback. If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant 7figs a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use them without restriction or obligation to you.
18. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers, which may include our Aggregation Provider (currently SnapTrade), an identity provider (Auth0), payment processing, market-data vendors, and AI/model providers. Your use of features that depend on these providers may be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for third-party acts, omissions, outages, or data. Links or references to third-party content are not endorsements.
19. Electronic Communications and Consent
You consent to receive communications and disclosures — including these Terms, the Privacy Notice, fee disclosures, and, for Advisory Users, Form ADV and Form CRS and other required disclosures — electronically, and you agree that electronic delivery satisfies any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. You may withdraw consent to electronic delivery as described in the Privacy Notice, which may require us to limit or discontinue certain features.
20. Disclaimers of Warranties
Except as expressly stated and subject to Section 7 for Advisory Users, the Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." To the fullest extent permitted by law, 7figs disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty regarding accuracy, availability, or results. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that Projections or aggregated data will be accurate.
Nothing in this section limits any obligation 7figs owes to Advisory Users under the Advisers Act, and nothing in these Terms waives any right you may have under the federal or state securities laws (Advisers Act §215).
21. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, and except as stated below: 7figs and its affiliates, officers, employees, and providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or investment losses, arising out of or relating to the Service. 7figs' total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the fees you paid to 7figs in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Carve-outs. These limitations do not apply to (a) liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, (b) 7figs' obligations to Advisory Users under the Advisers Act and its fiduciary duty, or (c) any waiver prohibited by Advisers Act §215.
22. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 7figs and its affiliates from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms or law, or information you provide, except to the extent caused by 7figs' own misconduct or by any obligation 7figs owes you under the securities laws.
23. Term; Suspension; Termination
These Terms apply while you use the Service. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law or risk/compliance considerations, or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (including Sections 6–14, 17, 20–24) survive. For Advisory Users, termination of Advisory Services is governed by the Advisory Agreement. We will handle your data on termination as described in the Privacy Notice, subject to legal record-keeping obligations.
24. Dispute Resolution; Binding Arbitration; Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of 7figs.ai, Inc.'s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The specific governing state and court venue will be finalized before the Service becomes generally available.
Binding individual arbitration. To the fullest extent permitted by law, and except for claims that cannot be arbitrated as a matter of law, you and 7figs agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, administered by a nationally recognized arbitration administrator under its then-current rules (the administrator will be identified in the final Terms). You and 7figs waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class, collective, or representative action. If any portion of this class-action waiver is unenforceable, the remainder of this section still applies.
Preserved rights (do not remove). Nothing in this section (a) limits any right you have under the federal or state securities laws, (b) requires you to waive any right that cannot be waived under the Advisers Act §215, or (c) limits any fiduciary obligation 7figs owes Advisory Users. To the extent applicable law prohibits mandatory pre-dispute arbitration of a particular claim (including certain investment-advisory claims), that claim is excluded from this arbitration agreement and may proceed in a court of competent jurisdiction.
25. Changes to the Service and These Terms
We may modify the Service and these Terms. For material changes, we will provide notice (for example, by email or in-app) before they take effect, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. For Advisory Users, changes to advisory terms, fees, or Form ADV follow the notice process in the Advisory Agreement and applicable law. If you do not agree to a change, your remedy is to stop using the Service and, if applicable, cancel.
26. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Notice, and any supplemental terms (including, for Advisory Users, the Advisory Agreement and Form ADV/CRS) are the entire agreement between you and 7figs regarding the Service. This does not limit any obligation imposed by applicable law — including the Advisers Act and other federal or state securities laws — which applies regardless of these Terms.
- Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
- Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, or otherwise as permitted by law. For Advisory Users, any assignment of the Advisory Agreement (within the meaning of the Advisers Act) will be handled in accordance with the consent requirements of the Advisers Act.
- Force majeure. Neither party is liable for failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
- Notices. We may provide notices electronically; you may contact us as described in Section 27.
- No third-party beneficiaries. Except as expressly stated, these Terms create no third-party beneficiary rights.
27. Contact
